The day of Micah

If there is a saint out there named Micah, this past Sunday had better be the day we celebrate him. We were blessed this weekend to celebrate two baptisms with two wonderful friends.

Let me introduce Micah Ruben Truwe and his mom, Jamie. (Dad, Greg, is the pastor and was extremely busy at this moment, thus unavailable for a picture.)

Micah and his family live in San Antonio and yes, we made the 3 1/2 hour drive with Micaiah to be present for this exciting event. She was a real trooper both ways only melting down about half an hour from our final destination. Let me tell you, she was GLAD to be home!

A trip to San Antonio also meant catching up with Kari Waterman. She graciously opened her home to all three of us and it was wonderful. She even let Micaiah take a bath in her sink! Now that's love... She has some great pictures of our time together on her blog (see the sidebar). Here are just a couple for you to enjoy.

Upon returning to Houston, we geared up for the baptism of Micah David Saxe. Micah was born just two days after Micaiah and it has been so much fun to watch the two of them grow and change together. Some say they're destined for marraige. We say they have to learn to tolerate each other at the least since their parents plan on spending plenty of time together over the years!
