It's all Relatives...
We had the pleasure of spending a few very short days in St. Louis last week and it was a blast! All three sisters found themselves in the same place at the same time in, well, WAY too long. Nora drove up from Potosi and Alison drove over from Kansas with her twin boys Joshua and Caleb. Talk about a house full! Thanks for taking the time to make it happen. We had FUN!!!
This was Micaiah's first real taste of true fall. The fall we grew up with and miss terribly down hear in big bad Texas. Although we just missed the peak of fall color on the trees, the few colors remaining combined with the crispness in the air was, well, it just was.
Micaiah couldn't take her eyes off the leaves. She took everything in as we walked through the park near my parents home. You'll note in the pictures below that not once did she look at me while exploring her first carpet of golden autumn leaves. A girl after my own heart!
Isaac, Micaiah's cousin on Brian's side, celebrated his 1st birthday while we were there as well. Unfortunately we weren't able to stay for cake... we're anxious to see picture of that experience! We celebrated puppy style which was super fun. Way to go Aunt Sara!
Because of the festivities Great Grandma Lanik came to town with Brian's parents. This was her first opportunity to meet Micaiah and we are thankful she made the long trek to STL. GG even got to hold her for, well, maybe 4 minutes when you add all her attempts together... Micaiah was a little overloaded with all the seldom seen family and friends.
Thank you everyone for taking time out for us. We love and miss you all very much!
